16 Photos From a Bustling and Fun-Filled Manhattanville Community Day 2026

The annual celebration, held on June 27, brought together community and Columbia-affiliated organizations, the arts and sciences, tasty treats, and tons of fun with friends new and old.

A sunny start gave way to summer showers, but nothing could dampen the energy at Manhattanville Community Day on June 27, which unfolded across Columbia's Manhattanville campus in full, bustling force as Harlem Pride brought even more celebratory energy right next door. It was a day to revel in the beautiful, eclectic, and fun-loving Uptown community.

Art took center stage this year and fittingly so, as the weekend also marked the opening of Children's Art Carnival in Harlem: The Making of Contemporary Artists at the Wallach Art Gallery. The exhibition set a joyful tone that carried through the day, from the Wallach's puppet-making and an artist demonstration with Tomo Mori at Lenfest Center for the Arts to a community sewing circle with Maya Ciarrocchi in the Lee C. Bollinger Forum and a smartphone photography exhibition from Art in the Park in Jerome L. Greene Science Center.

This was all alongside plentiful community tables, local vendors, wellness circles, science activities, tasty treats, and even the Columbia Neighbors team (if we dare say so ourselves!) sharing resources and stories with neighbors.

From a Bend It Like Beckham screening timed to the World Cup spirit to Saturday Science at the Zuckerman Institute, a visit from the fan-favorite BioBus, bites from Columbia Business School’s Harlem Local Vendor Program alumni, and the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que/Dear Mama Coffee/Fauzia's restaurant crawl, there was something for every neighbor who made their way through the event (see the full activity list here).

Below, we've gathered a few photos from the day that capture the warmth and connection that made it all worthwhile. Share your own and tag us on Instagram @columbianeighbors.
