As part of the Columbia Community Service (CCS) Back to School Supply Drive, CCS and the Office of Public Safety teamed up to collect school supplies for students in the local community. The supplies were distributed as part of the Sixth Annual Back-2-School community event, which was hosted by 26th Precinct Community Affairs and Manhattan Community Board 9. More than 700 students from Upper Manhattan received books, pens, pencils, rulers, crayons, notebooks, backpacks, calculators, binders, and folders to help them prepare for the 2021-22 school year. The event also featured family programming and other community resources to safely celebrate a new school year.
