Are you and your family hoping for a festive Thanksgiving meal this year, but are also in need of a little help putting food on the table?

This holiday season, there are many Uptown organizations that are helping community members stay fed throughout the holiday. From turkey drives to hot meals, there are a number of different services that are available for all local residents.

We are fortunate enough to share a zip code with these mission-based organizations that are doing the work and serving the community. As part of their annual turkey drive, Columbia Community Service and Columbia Facilities, in partnership with Sysco, donated 835 turkeys to five local organizations that provide food relief in the area. Neighbors in need can grab a turkey, a meal, or produce from these five organizations:

NY Common Pantry, East Harlem Location
Dates: Wednesdays to Saturday, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

In addition to their regular pantry hours, NY Common Pantry will be holding two Thanksgiving-themed events: a free, restaurant-style hot Thanksgiving lunch at their East Harlem Pantry location, and a Food and Health Empowerment Fair (including a turkey giveaway) at The Huntington Free Library.
