Double Discovery Center
We recently spent a day at Summer Academy, an immersive college preparatory program for local high schools at the Double Discovery Center (DDC) on Columbia's Morningside campus. In addition to the Summer Academy, DDC’s programming includes fall and winter sessions where students are mentored and taught by Columbia University and Barnard College undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of different subjects. College readiness for New York City youth is a huge pillar of the program’s mission and what better way to offer that real-life experience than right here on campus with actual Columbians! DDC is seeking college success mentors and tutors to volunteer while getting hands-on professional experience. If this is of interest to you, contact [email protected] and check out the link below to see how you can get connected this fall.
