On May 6, 2022 Council Member Shaun Abreu (CC'14) and Congressman Adriano Espaillat hosted a Mother's Day celebration honoring District 7 moms at The Forum on the Manhattanville campus.

District 7 covers a series of neighborhoods in upper Manhattan, including Morningside Heights, Manhattanville, Hamilton Heights, and parts of Washington Heights and the Upper West Side.

"Moms are the backbone of our community — and I’ll never pass up a chance to thank them," said Espaillat in a tweet, shared below.

Abreu also shared in a tweet: "Moms are the best. Never pass up a chance to thank them."

The Forum was pleased to be a small part of a day to celebrate our Upper Manhattan moms and moms everywhere.

Located on the corner of 125th Street and Broadway, The Forum is a unique gathering place that is open to the local New York City community, with a state-of-the-art auditorium, meeting and event spaces, and communal work areas. The Atrium, where the Mothers Day event took place, recently reopened to the public in March, after being closed during the pandemic.
