Black History Month at Harlem's George Bruce Library

The New York Public Library, a great resource to New Yorkers, is celebrating Black History Month with events, book recommendations, and more. As part of an ongoing partnership with the George Bruce Library on 125th Street to provide regular updates from the library staff, Columbia Neighbors is sharing some of those programs.

    • Story Line: Call 917-ASK-NYPL (917-275-6975) to hear a children’s book performed by one of our talented librarians. A new story will be made available every week in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
    • Looking for help meeting your reading goals in 2021? NYPL has a list of suggested reading resolutions.
    • Get a personalized book bundle from Shelf Help. Just tell librarians about your reading interests!
    • Overdue fees are suspended until June 30, 2021.
