Oliva, a new tapas restaurant by celebrity Chef Franklin Becker, is the latest Columbia University retail tenant to join Columbia’s Manhattanville campus. Patrons can visit Oliva at the Jerome L. Greene Science Center (3229 Broadway at 130th Street) beginning Tuesday, September 28 for the restaurant’s grand opening.

Located inside Manhattanville Market, Oliva will serve a mix of traditional Spanish dishes, including cured meats, queso, paella, croquettes, and more. The drink menu offers a selection of beer from local breweries, cider, wine, seasonal sangrias, and cocktails. This week, guests can get a free glass of wine or sangria with their dinner order.

Oliva will have live performances by local musicians twice a month. On Thursday, September 30, composer and trumpeter Nicholas Dimaria will perform with his trio.

Oliva’s hours will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. A lunch service will begin at a later date.

Oliva follows the recent opening of Manhattanville Market, a multi-concept food hall also developed by Becker, which serves biscuit sandwiches, Sicilian pizza, Mediterranean and Israeli cuisine, and fresh salads.
