Warmer weather is closer than ever with the beginning of spring! What better way to kick off the season than with an array of events for families to enjoy without having to travel or break the bank? Upper Manhattan neighborhoods, including Washington Heights and Harlem, are hosting several events over the next two weekends, including fun activities to keep your little ones busy.

Celebrate the season with community parades, picture-taking with the Easter Bunny, and, most importantly, trying to find the golden egg in an egg hunt. Here’s a rundown of upcoming events you can consider for family fun:

Saturday, April 9

Community Parade and Egg Hunt at Fort Tryon Park
Jump-start your morning at 9:30 a.m. with a community parade followed by an Easter egg hunt. Bring your instruments and join a bagpipe-led processional at Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights.

Spring Festival at Highbridge Park
Taking it outdoors at Highbridge Park in Upper Manhattan, this spring event will include an obstacle course, jumbo games to play, and music to dance to in the afternoon.
