Columbia's Zuckerman Institute: Community During Crisis

June 30, 2020

The video above highlights how, in the face of crisis, the Zuckerman Institute at Columbia has found new ways to come together: to combat COVID-19, publish new discoveries and take a stand against racism.

Zuckerman Institute staff and researchers discuss the support, innovation, and dedication of Columbia scientists to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Scientists at Zuckerman have connected online to print face shields, design new protective devices, create fast COVID-19 tests, and connected with the broader scientific and medical communities through virtual symposiums, lectures, and podcasts. They have also discussed the physiological and social effects of racism, and how to dismantle it structurally.
