Columbia’s New Community Education Lab Launches Saturday Science Connecting Hundreds of Local Harlem and Washington Heights Children with Brain Science

May 03, 2017

Children of all ages are now participating in free Saturday Science events at the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute’s Education Lab on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus. Held monthly throughout the school year, Saturday Science is a partnership with the mobile science lab, BioBus and one of several community education and internship programs. Columbia neuroscientists teach a wide range of brain-related topics to local students and their families through hands-on activities, scientific resources and the latest research. A family, above, explores a brain close up. Upcoming events will explore the senses, how the mind makes memories and even how to trick your brain.
