Columbia-Harlem SBDC Launches October Trainings

The Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center (CHSBDC) has been part of the community of Upper Manhattan since 2009. Funded partially by the United States Small Business Administration, the CHSBDC is one of 900 centers across the country that offer free business advice and workshops provided by qualified small business professionals to existing and future entrepreneurs such as the ones below. 

Small Business Operations October 7, 2020
Running a business is like running an assembly line. Whether you are selling a product or a service, each stage in the process has to be considered as a part of the whole production. In this session, participants will learn to analyze each activity and look for efficiencies and stoppages in order to allocate resources and set sales goals.

Starting Your Lean Business October 14, 2020
Participants in this newly recorded workshop will get an introduction to the same innovative entrepreneurship principles currently taught to Columbia MBA students. Building a lean business means that you start and grow the enterprise concurrently while developing a scalable business model, instead of spending months writing a theoretical plan.

Small Business Marketing  October 29, 2020
In this inventive class, participants will learn intensive techniques for conducting customer discovery to ensure immediate success with their new ventures. They will also learn the four Ps of marketing, with significant focus on product development and pricing.

Quickbooks 101 Workshop Series October 2020
Introductory course for small business owners and self-employed professionals that are new to the bookkeeping platform, hands-on instruction to start, maintain the basic bookkeeping and accounting needs of your business.
