Join us for a cozy evening of musical performances by Randy Mason & Jamell Ogbonna, Evelyn Petcher Brandes, and Leadlights Ensemble!
This past spring, composer Evelyn Petcher Brandes invited the local community to create unique melodies and lyrics inspired by what we hear and see everyday in our Inwood neighborhood. Participants shared their musical ideas using only flashcards, boomwackers, bells, and lots of imagination.
Thanks to Inwood Haven workshop participants and community feedback, Brandes was able to create an original composition celebrating Inwood and now it's finally time for you to hear your musical ideas come to life!
Dyckman Farmhouse Museum is thrilled to be welcoming back Evelyn Petcher Brandes, along with a few talented friends and musicians, for the Inwood Haven culminating performance on our back porch.
Back Porch Concert: The Seasons of Inwood will begin with the hip-hop rhymes and rhythms of Randy Mason accompanied by Jamell Ogbonna!
Location: Dyckman Farmhouse Museum (on the corner of 204th Street and Broadway)
Inwood Haven is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. The Seasons of Inwood is made possible in part with funds from UMEZ Arts Engagement, a regrant program supported by the funding agency Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation (UMEZ) and administered by LMCC.
