As the regional U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Resource Partner, our center is uniquely positioned to help small business in Upper Manhattan gain access to the monies (over $500B) which is being distributed as grants and loans to businesses impacted by the current economic crisis caused by COVID-19.

We have created a new website with information, forms and instructional videos designed to help your Upper Manhattan business get working capital as quickly as possible. The website is updated with new information daily so please bookmark.

Because the need is so great, there is now a special section and video in the website for independent contractors, self employed/gig workers, and sole proprietors applying for the SBA disaster relief programs.

This week, we are offering an online workshop for Upper Manhattan Small Business Owners. "Welcome To Your Uncertain Future" will be taught by Columbia Business School Instruction Bob Dorf on Wednesday April 8 at 2pm. To Register, click here.

During these uncertain times, we recommend a strategic planning tool to small business owners: Finagraph CashFlowTool.com. To use it, you will need to upload your financial data from Quickbooks. Both are offering significant discounts for business affected by the crisis.

As always, we offer (now virtual) intensive one-on-one counseling to our clients at no cost, allowing us to truly build a strong relationship with them.

The Columbia Harlem SBDC continues our commitment to supporting the economic sustainability of New Yorkers-one business at a time.
