The 4th annual National Injury Prevention Day (NIPD) is on November 18th , 2023. It is designed to raise awareness about the burden of injury and violence in America and the need for injury science and prevention programs. It is dedicated to educating and empowering communities to make a difference and work toward reducing serious injuries and deaths.
The Columbia Center for Injury Science and Prevention (CCISP), the Injury Free Coalition for Kids, and all NIPD partners and collaborators are pushing forward with efforts to stop injuries and violence -- the number one killer and cause of hospitalization of people from ages 1 to 44 years old.
