Word Up welcomes Bronx poet & activist Roya Marsh to celebrate her latest poetry collection Savings Time, an exploration of Black joy, collective action, and healing.To kick off the event, we’ll have a set by comedian Petey DeAbreu, poetry readings from Pamela Sneed (Funeral Diva), Ebony Stewart (Home.Girl.Hood.), and Steven Willis (A Peculiar People), along with a performance from singer Rashawna Wilson. In conversation with Marsh will be Christy DeGallerie.
This event is a $5 suggested donation ticket with 70 max attendees. Please register in advance.
