Now in its fifth season, Round The Block! Celebrating Arts and Community is leaving its home in the Garment District for the first time, and heading to Harlem!
RTB! is a promenade-style performance connecting all the creative people in the neighborhood – businesses, community organizations, garment workers, visual artists, choreographers, and theater-makers. We invite audiences to join us on a guided tour around Harlem to see short pieces of music, theater, dance, and visual art and meet the diverse, thriving businesses and creators who call the neighborhood home. The event is a chance to gather together, get to know each other as neighbors and raise awareness and visibility for the district’s creative entrepreneurs and organizations. The tours, led by our artistic guides – one returning, one new – will depart two times in the evening and last about 45 minutes each, and will conclude at the Broadway Presbyterian Church for additional hands-on activities, art installation, and more.
