Infusing the essence of iconic dance works by master choreographers of the 20th century, Dances for a Variable Population (DVP) will lead a performance and workshop of Revival 8: Then and Now.
Revival is an annual city-wide performance series. All performances serve over 2,500 New Yorkers of all ages. These performances highlight the beauty of the older performer and feature legendary artists and neighborhood older adults from all four boroughs.
Interactive workshops accompanying the performances engage communities in the power of dance. Centers can participate in the rehearsals and performances as dancers – or simply transport older adults to the sites for a free workshop/performance experience.
