Save the date for Party On Park, when we'll open the spaces under and along the Park Avenue Viaduct to bike, skate, scoot & more!
NYC DOT will host a bike helmet giveaway, then you can get your kids started with a free Learn To Ride session hosted by Bike New York (1 p.m.) with free bike rentals from Unlimited Biking. Transportation Alternatives will host a free Family Fun Ride, and El Barrio Bikes will be offering group rides and walks each half-hour.
Once you've got your wheels, explore each of our fun zones along Park Avenue from 125th to 111th streets, including the Skateboarding zone with Bronx Girls Skate, Inline Skating with We Roll NYC, the Kids zone featuring two shows by Bindlestiff Family Cirkus (1 and 3 p.m.) -- and not just one, but two, Bounce Zones!
For the whole family, there'll also be zones dedicated to Health, Fitness, Education, Transit, Community, Art, and Environment. Plus a Vegan Fest at La Marqueta's Lot 2.
