Navigating the Housing Court can be daunting. With this event, New York Public Library (NYPL) hope to provide attendants with a thorough understanding of the Housing Court processes, types of legal cases, and what to expect.

It will also address how tenants can seek recourse through Housing Court, such as to compel an owner to improve housing conditions. The topics covered will include how to navigate the Housing Court, and different forms of cases including access, non-payment, housing part actions, and holdover evictions. Lastly, we will cover illegal lockouts and where to seek help and further resources. This event will be held at the Hamilton Grange Library location on Tuesday, July 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
