The Digital Futures Institute at Columbia University Teachers College is holding a speaker series panel on community based mental health.

In a world where mental health challenges are prevalent, building resilient communities equipped to support individuals' well-being is more crucial than ever. Community-based approaches emphasize integrating mental health care into the fabric of the community and leveraging community resources to support individuals' mental health and well-being. This session will explore a framework for providing tools that clinicians, parents and educators can use to support mental health and resilience in community-based settings.

Dr. Lena L. Green currently serves as the executive director of the HOPE Center, a community based mental health clinic in Harlem, NYC connected to the historic First Corinthian Baptist Church (FCBC). She is an associate professor and project manager, in Population Health Science & Policy at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and a clinical professor at both NYU and Columbia University schools of social work.
