This concert celebrates the 100th birthday of distinguished American composer Benjamin Lees. Three works, each representing a distinct stylistic period, will be performed. The charming, humorous Horn Sonata (1953), an early work, is followed by a late work: Odyssey No. 3 (2005), a strange, unsettling journey into the unknown. The Violin Sonata No. 2 (1973) brings the concert to a dramatic, virtuosic conclusion.
