One to One Tutoring

One-to-One Tutoring provides individual tutoring to elementary school children for hour-and-a-half sessions on Saturdays, on Columbia's Morningside campus. Tutoring is open to any students aged 6-12 who live or attend school in the neighborhoods of Morningside Heights, Washington Heights, and Harlem. Tutors help students to improve math and reading skills, and encourage students to develop effective studying habits. Tutors also aim to provide their tutees with the tools required to persevere in their studies, and the ability to face challenging concepts with confidence. Volunteer commitment is for an hour and a half every Saturday morning, between 10am and 2pm, for one year.
