CUIMC Summer Youth Employment Program

Summer youth employment participants.

'Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest youth employment program, connecting NYC youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences each summer.

Please Note: We only accept youth aged 18 and older at our campus for SYEP.

Through SYEP, Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Office of Academic and Community Partnerships (ACP) collaborates with community organizations and the New York City Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD). Over 100 youth are placed in various Medical Center departments, promoting first-hand work experience and mentoring relations.

Applications for SYEP open every spring. SYEP places participants in organizations across New York City, not just Columbia University Irving Medical Center.'
