This virtual convening offers lessons from cities and counties across the U.S. that have transformed their approach to juvenile probation. The webinar will include opportunities for participants to raise questions and offer their own insights.

Speakers Include:

  • Steve Bishop is a Senior Associate of the Juvenile Justice Strategy Group at the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Previously, he served as Director of the Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research.
  • David Muhammad is the Executive Director of the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform. Previously, he held youth probation leadership roles in Alameda County, New York City, and Washington, DC and served as Executive Director of The Mentoring Center in Oakland, CA.
  • Vincent Schiraldi is the Co-Director of the Columbia University Justice Lab. Previously, he was Commissioner of the New York City Department of Probation and Director of the Washington, DC Youth Rehabilitation Services Department.
  • Kevin Williams is the Probation Manager in Pierce County, WA.

  • Patrick McCarthy is a Stoneleigh Visiting Fellow and a Research Scholar at Columbia University Justice Lab. Previously, he served as President and CEO of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and Director of the Delaware Division of Youth Rehabilitative Services.
