WILDEN DANNENBERG leads the HOLIDAY BRASS ENSEMBLE in a fascinating program of antiphonal brass music for the holidays. A brass choir will be located in each of the Chapel’s balconies, and the music will be replete with spacial and echo effects, inspired by the architecture of Basilica San Marco di Venezia, where antiphonal music was popularized in the sixteenth century.
Music by Giovanni Gabrieli and Hildegard von Bingen, and premieres by Julian Bennett Holmes and Wilden Dannenberg. Some classic holiday tunes will end the concert.
