Event time is displayed in your time zone.

WHDC’s West Harlem Skills Training Center manages the Summer Senior Employment Program (SSEP). Since 2013, our summer program has placed hundreds of older West Harlem residents (55+ years) in part-time, stipend-paid positions at local nonprofits and public agencies. SSEP gives participants the opportunity to contribute meaningful service to their communities and help under-resourced organizations meet staffing gaps.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:  For Summer 2021, it is WHDC’s continued priority to ensure the health and safety of our seniors. All safety protocols are incorporated into SSEP activities including: social distancing, regular cleaning/sanitizing, and masks are required.

Accepted applicants will provide payroll information and be matched to employment opportunities available for our senior residents.

Each eligible participant will earn $15 an hour for up to 120 hours within the program period.
