A Community Candlelight Vigil in Memory of Tess Majors

The Columbia-Barnard community offers its condolences to Tess Major's family and friends. Join Columbia University, Barnard College, Friends of Morningside Park, NYC Congressman Adriano Espaillat, NYC Councilmember Mark Levine, NY State Senator Brian A. Benjamin and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer for a candlelight vigil in memory of Tess Majors. The vigil is open to the public and will take place at Morningside Park and 116th Street, at the bottom landing of the steps. Thank you to our other partners: NYS Senator Robert Jackson, NYC Councilmember Bill Perkins, NYS Assemblymembers Inez Dickens, Danny O’Donnell, Al Taylor and Carmen De La Rosa, District Leaders Corey Ortega, Curtis Arluck, Paula Diamond Roman and Cordell Cleare, Community Board 9, North Star Neighborhood Association, Frederick Douglass Boulevard Association, Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, and CEC3/Kim Watkins.
