Please join us at the Earth Institute's very first Climate Café! This new event series will occur once a month at Arts & Crafts Beer Parlor on 116th and Amsterdam.
The Climate Café is designed to be a casual space to connect with others who want to chat about climate change, environmental journalism and communication innovation, earth sciences, climate justice, activism, sustainability, and other related (or unrelated) topics. It’s an opportunity to cross-connect our classroom, conference room, research lab, and office discussions and reach out to the wider community.
Come at 4pm for short introductions by Andy Revkin, Director of our Communications Initiative, and Earth Institute Director Alex Halliday, and stay to enjoy stimulating conversation. Light snacks provided, beverages available for purchase.
We’re excited to be partnering with Arts & Crafts, a local business dedicated to sustainability. A&C’s owners have been conscious of their environmental footprint since opening and are always looking for ways to be even “greener.”
We encourage you to join the Earth Institute's Climate and Sustainability Communications Network to keep track of forthcoming events of this sort. The connections you'll make, both face to face and via virtual chats, will help spread and deepen communication skills and spark creative collaborations.
