"A documentary about libraries, labels, and activism," Change the Subject (2019) is a film that follows a group of Dartmouth students working with Library staff to campaign to change the subject headings in the Library of Congress for "undocumented immigrants."
Join us for a screening of the documentary at Columbia University and a Q&A with members of the film team.
This event will be followed by a town hall discussion in Butler Library of the issues raised by the film. Register for that event here: https://events.columbia.edu/go/libraryactivism
This event is a collaboration between different divisions of the libraries: Cataloging and Metadata Services, Digital Scholarship, Global Studies, the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the Technical Services Librarians Committee, and CCLIP.
