Advocacy: Finding Your Voice in Noisy Times is a special, free of charge series of workshops for those who wish to speak out and take action, co-hosted by Union Theological Seminary and the Office of Government Relations at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Are you a non-profit professional, educator, religious leader, psychologist, artist, or health professional who wants to get more involved in the democratic process?

If so, join us to participate in workshops facilitated by experts in the field. You will learn and take action to:

  • Run for office or organize a movement (Senator Robert Jackson; Charon Hribar)
  • Find your voice (using words when necessary) (Kate Sweeney; John Falcone)
  • Use social media to speak out (Benjamin Perry; Nic Lacetti)
  • Be a change agent in your organization (Matthew J. Camp; Brittany Chambers)
  • Write an op/ed (Robin Reese)
  • Speak to elected officials (Senator Brian Benjamin; Kevin Quinn; Michael Woloz)

Keynote speaker, food and networking too! You'll get to participate in two workshops.
