In response to the need for state-of-the-art facilities to sustain the advances and growth expected of a prestigious university, Columbia is faced with addressing academic needs within the confines of a century-old campus through the renovation of existing buildings and the construction of new facilities. In recognition of the impact that such projects have on area residents, the University endeavors to keep its neighbors and their representatives informed of major renovations and construction projects, on and off campus. The Neighbors Web site is one of the ways that Columbia works to keep the lines of communication open between the University and its neighbors.

 

This Web site contains both current and past construction projects. Within each section, you will find the latest available news on a given project. Whenever possible, we post construction timelines, architectural renderings, and project contact information. In cases of large, active construction projects that might present significant impacts on the community, we coordinate scheduled community meetings to serve as exchange forums for residents and University staff and as opportunities to present updates of upcoming project-related impacts.
