Project Overview

2700 Broadway
The construction of 2700 Broadway was completed in the summer of 2005. The new 13-story residential building, on the northeast corner of Broadway and West 103rd Street, holds 83 residential units for Columbia University faculty and postdoctoral researchers as well as retail space. 2700 Broadway enables Columbia University to offer local housing as part of its continuing effort to attract and retain top faculty and researchers. Residential occupancy of the building began in June 2005. Gristedes supermarket, which is located along the building's western frontage, opened for business in April 2005. Independence Community Bank, located in the building's ground-floor retail space, opened for business in the fall of 2005.
